As artists, sometimes we struggle with the blank paper/canvas–where do we begin? We look at it and suddenly remember a load of laundry that needs changing or an email that needs answering…And especially if we’re mostly representational painters looking to add a little something, maybe begin trying some abstract work, how do we start?

In this hands-on demonstration, Carolyn will show the range of tools and paints she uses in her abstract and expressionistic acrylic/mixed media work. She’ll show you how to face down that blank paper with excitement and confidence. You’ll learn tips and techniques to begin, and then to continue on, in your explorations of abstraction. Carolyn will share much of what she has learned over several decades of abstract painting (she can’t fit ALL of it into one morning) in this fun and interactive presentation.
