Deborah Taylor paints with oils for its vibrancy, luminosity and texture.  Her subject matter is always about interesting shapes, values and color temperature whether that is in more representational work or in abstracted work. Her paintings investigate light and shadow and the joining of those two families, seeking balance and complexity with an eye toward the emotional response.
