Kathy is a watercolor artist currently residing in Northern Virginia.   She is a member of the Potomac Valley Watercolorist and has received Signature Artist Status with the Virginia Watercolor Society and the Baltimore Watercolor Society.  Kathy received the Workhouse Arts Center Award for Best in Show 2024 in the 30th annual student watercolor show.  She was pleased to receive the Memorial Award of Distinction in the 2021 Virginia Watercolor Society Exhibition held in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Kathy’s collection of photographs provide inspiration for her realistic paintings as they reflect her love of nature, travel, and challenges of portrait paintings. She strives to combine the wonderful loose flow of watercolor with her attention to detail.   Painting provides a beautiful balance alongside her love of travel, spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, and staying physically active in her retirement.
