Ms. Hoeber’s early artwork was watercolors of florals.  For the past sixteen years she has been a glassblower and she also paints acrylic abstracts. Her glass and paintings have been in numerous juried shows.

Ms. Hoeber is also a national security expert. As founder and owner of a small consulting firm (AMH Consulting), a Potomac, Maryland company, she provides consulting on a wide range of defense matters including focusing on managing and developing proposals, project/program planning, managing government contract efforts, and performing independent assessments for the Federal Government on national security related issues. She was a member of the Reagan Administration, as Deputy Assistant Secretary (R&D); Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary (R, D&A); and Deputy Under Secretary; U.S. Army, where she was responsible to the Secretary and the Under Secretary of the Army for research and development, test and evaluation, and acquisition policies, procedures and programs.  Both prior to her government appointment and afterwards, she held. several positions in the defense industry and authored a number of books on nuclear, chemical and biological defense matters.

She was also a nominee for Congress in Maryland’s 6th Congressional District in 2016 and 2018 and was appointed by Governor Larry Hogan, and reappointed by Governor Wes Moore, as a Member of the Montgomery County Board of Elections.  She brings her breadth of experience to her art.
