Abstract stories in color

I grew up sketching and taking art classes in upstate New York, later studying painting and calligraphy at Cornell University and earning an MFA from George Washington University.

I painted with my mentor, Robert “Bob” White of the Baltimore Realists, who deepened my understanding of still life and the interplay of light and dark—lessons that continue to shape my work.

My process is one of constant renewal. I work freely with palette knives, rollers, and other tools, and I’ve recently been exploring collage, often incorporating fragments of my own paintings and found materials.

Alongside my studio practice, I’ve spent three decades as a graphic designer and jewelry artist—fields that share the same foundations of color, form, texture, and composition.

My paintings and jewelry have been exhibited at Art at the Mill, Second Street Gallery, Georgetown Hospital, Goodwin House Gallery, the Museum of Women in the Arts, the World Bank, the Annapolis Waterfront Festival, and in multiple shows at the Columbia Pike Artists’ Studios in Arlington, Virginia.
